Quick Panipuri

I am up for a quick panipoori ..

So here I grabbed some stuffs from the local grocery store :

For the puris:
-----------------
Panipuri packet (1 packet has 42-50 pcs ,it comes with panipuri masala)

For the pani : MDH Panipuri masala
----------------------------------------------
Take a bowl full of chilled water and mix the panipuri masala along with few mint leaves (pudina patta )


For the stuffing:
---------------------

Take 4 boiled potatoes and to that add chopped onion ,chopped green chillies,red chili powder,salt to taste,chopped cilantro.

Mash the potatoes and mix  everything together.

So now everything is in place..

Time to Serve:
-------------------
Prick the panipuri and add the potato stuffing ,add chopped onion ,add a pinch of salt and red chilli powder and some lemon juice if you wish to

Then dip into the pani and ENJOYYYY your quick panipuri,puchka,gupchup or golgappas

If you dont like pani ..then you can have them as sukha puri too with some chickpeas

Emblem of life force

The Horse symbolizes power thats widespread through most cultures, and it is linked as an emblem of life-force.

Here is my take on Jamini Roy's painting Black Horse:

Blessing of Ganapati

I was surfing the net on a Saturday morning and came across a beautiful painting of Ganapati ji,

So then and there I decided why not give it a try ..I sat down to paint Ganapati (Hindu God ,also known as Ganesha) on a canvas..

This Ganapati painting shows him in a seated position with lots of ornaments and his right hand raised in a gesture of blessing.

Below the painting ,I have added the beautiful sloka of Ganesha that I chant everyday..

In Sanskrit :
वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सुर्यकोटि समप्रभ
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा

In English:
Vakra-Tunndda Maha-Kaaya Surya-Kotti Samaprabha
Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarva-Kaaryessu Sarvadaa

The Meaning:
O Lord Ganesha, of Curved Trunk, Large Body, and with the Brilliance of a Million Suns,
Please Make All my Works Free of Obstacles, Always.

Cake n Cakes

Cake decoration is an effective way to showcase your artistic side..
Since childhood, I used to see my mom baking cake and very fondly decorating them ,so I always wanted to bake ..

As time went by, many new methods of cake baking as well as cake decorating has been introduced .

I am really fascinated with the huge tiered cakes ,the wedding cakes, the beautiful figurines ,the colors , the flowers ..I can go on and on ..so I thought of giving it a try myself.

I joined a cake decoration class this summer to get my basics right..

I am so very happy and excited about this .Will be sharing with you all this wonderful journey of cake decoration..

So what r u all waiting for. I would say go join a class soon. Its fun to bake your own cake and decorate them too and meanwhile you learn many new cake baking terms ..fondant, sculpting ,crème coat and the likes...
